artist statement.
My work is a visual map of interactions between people in lost spaces. Collages, photographs, paintings, drawings and notes I have taken. Objects I have found, creating explanation of the cities dreams and drugs. I attempt to display the city streets in gorgeously organized painful splatters of beauty. This art, has become medicine for me to under stand myself, to make sense of the world I live in, and the world I have come from. I share this art with all of you…
the work of Lucien Pellegrin
I gain inspiration from the dirty gritty sub cultures of humanity who have been torn and beaten by a social construct that is no longer conducive for their personal condition. Through this inspiration, I see the beauty in all that we are. In essence there is no one-way to live life, no right way to make art, no perfect way to die.

This time of year is one of celebration: it is the graduation, BBQ, summer birthday season! The wine I think that goes with most anything and any occasion is sparkling. Champagne (which is only called Champagne if from the Champagne region of France) and other sparkling wines come in so much variety it’s crazy, plus it is the easiest wine, in my opinion, to mix in a cocktail. Here are my suggestions for the summer BBQ, even if the sun never comes out in Seattle.
This is an inexpensive bubbly that is great-tasting. Perfect for making those summer mimosas!
Washington’s own Chateau Ste. Michelle puts out an awesome bubbly that retails for about $8.99 a bottle. The Blanc de Noir is my Favorite. Yummy! I drink it straight or mix it in cocktails. So, pop a bottle to the beginning of summer, y’all! So, pop a bottle to the beginning of summer!
Well, I know I haven’t blogged in an extremely long time but here is my re-entry into the blogosphere!
My wine drinking has dropped dramatically in the last year. The recession forced my pocketbook to choose more “affordable” bottles. For a while there were decent finds for $5 to $7 per bottle. I miss the days when I would drop 20 bucks on a bottle of L’ecole 41 Red wine and drink my cares away. Sometimes a good bottle is worth that price tag. Sometimes we have to decide we deserve it.
What made me think of this is I recently bought a bottle of Sheridan Vineyard Kamiakin Red ($15) wine on sale. My friend commented on the nose of the wine being floral and I suddenly realized I haven’t purchased a palate-worthy wine in a while. Wines worth a swirl, sniff, and sip test. While it wasn’t my usual $5 to $7, I realize it’s time to look at those lower-range quality wines. The recession has gotten this wine geek off her game. There are plenty of exceptional wines in my price range, especially from Washington State. So this is my repentance, no more impulse buys. I will only taste to savor, hence forth.
